The art really takes care of itself.
So in understanding what this thing means and what it has done for me, it's all I have.
I don't have anything else.
This is literally it.
There isn't anything else that I can go and do.
And I don't mean that in terms of a trade or a skill.
But if we were playing Marco Polo, this is hot, I'm hot.
I'm not leaving this pocket because I know everywhere else is not for me.
I'll be out of my element.
I'll be ineffective.
And thus, I'll be out of sync with my nature.
And that's suffering.
This art requires your devotion.
It requires all of you
and many of us hide behind medals and awards,
which aren't bad, which are fine, but they're meaningless.
They're meaningless.
One: they're man-made. Two: the Art itself is the greatest thing ever.
There are people who walk on this earth who have no idea what they want to do, let alone even have a craft which they can devote themselves to.
To even have the opportunity to delve into one's craft and explore it, there's nothing greater.
