First song from, “Music For Walking” by Posture Walking Club.
The beauty of being on an electric bike is you’re fast enough to avoid being mowed by a vehicle but slow enough to use the side walk when the streets are too hot. I’m in a helmet always.
Last week I took a 10 mile trek towards the water. My bike died on my route back and, after a day of squats, pounding a 80 pound bike was an extra days workout. Par for the course. I like the stumbling and struggle of figuring this thing out. I like the awkwardness, the uncomfortability in public, the idea of being seen on a bike. I think there’s no better place to exercise that than in Los Angeles. No one has time to care about this stuff anywhere else. They have real things to do.
I saw this man painting today. I was so inspired by him.
I pulled over to capture a glimpse. He asked about my new bike and I asked him about his work. I love artistry and originality. I can’t overstate how inspiring it is (and how little of it exists today)
Speaking of originality, I stopped by to see Charlie. He’s got an interview out that is really insightful into his wonderful mind. Really rare to see a human of his kind.
Photographer extraordinaire Glen Jamn was also here. They did what they did with cameras. I documented as I do.
I was just in Oakland for a show. While there I got my aura read. Those things are complete nonsense but the imagery is quite lovely. Thanks to Theo Schear & Amelia for the trip. This was fun to document. We ate at a lovely restaurant. It was truly a wonderful, no-frills experience.
I have been preparing to launch a new series that I am directing and starring in. It will debut at the end of this year. I will share further details as they arrive.
